Last weekend, four Ohio Science Olympiad teams represented Ohio at the 2019 National Science Olympiad Tournament.

The Science Olympiad National Tournament(link is external) is an impressive achievement, as only the top teams from each state tournament attend. This year, over 2,000 students from across the country competed in the 35th Annual National Science Olympiad Tournament, held at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Of the 120 teams, we are proud that four teams were able to represent Ohio in the tournament. Of the 60 Division B and 60 Division C teams, Solon Middle School and Tower Heights Middle School competed in Division B, and Solon High School and Mason High School competed in Division C.

After competing in 50 events, Solon Middle School and Solon High School placed second place, Mason High School placed fourth place and Tower Heights Middle School placed in 18th place.

Congratulations to all the teams that competed in the National Tournament, and thank you to all who made the 2018-2019 Science Olympiad season a success!
