Ohio Teams Place at Science Olympiad National Tournament

Ohio had all four of its teams place in the top 20 at the Science Olympiad National Tournament, hosted at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, on May 20, 2017.

In Division B (middle school), Solon Middle School placed third overall, while Tower Heights Middle School placed 17th overall.

In Division C (high school), Solon High School also placed third overall, while Mentor High School placed 14th. A total of 120 teams between both divisoins make it to the national tournament each year.

Daniel Wright Junior High School (Illinois) and Troy High School (California) took top honors for the Division C and Division B, respectively.

Back in early April, Mentor High and Tower Heights Middle Schools each won the Ohio Science Olympiad state tournament, while both Solon schools placed second.
